In Delta Modulation section the signal at time tn is
compared with that at tn-1. The output is coded into a single bit (Delta
Modulation output) which controls an 8 bit updown counter. The parallel
output of the 8 bit counter is connected to an ADC which gives tn-1 amplitude
level.
The Delta Modulating output is connected to an 8 bit
updown counter and a DAC followed by a low pass filter to regenerate the
original analog signal.
